We used the Gas Buddy app to find the best gas prices and find that if you go from one state to another the gas prices change drastically. For example, the gas in Wisconsin is 20 cents cheaper than Illinois. Since Gas Buddy told us that, we are waiting to get gas in Wisconsin.
We drove a little more than 500 miles in about 9.5 hours ...
... like the farms would be a lot more fun if the towers were painted crazy colors – a real missed opportunity there, in my humble opinion. Illinois was mainly flat, which added to the monotony of the drive, but contributed to great gas mileage! And with gas at $3.79 a gallon in Illinois (it dropped by 20 cents when I got to Wisconsin) I'm happy for the good mileage!
