... seemed to reciprocate Oriah's affections and tried to come say hello (or scope out if he could eat her - both are likely :) up close! The kids were thrilled!!!
There were zoo keepers who ran shows all over the park and we caught a few of them, including one where thy are researching primate intelligence using a computer program and learning how a silverback gorilla and some of the other primates can use memory- it is super cool!

... on Thurs 27th, which was Thanksgiving day. We were staying about 2 hours out of Chicago with a friend of Kathy's whom she had not seen for 32 years. The talking started when we arrived on the Tuesday afternoon and was enjoyed for the next few days until we left on the Friday.
