Travel Blogs from Rome
My last day I head into Florence and have the traditional Italian breakfast of a custard filled croissant and capuccino, standing at the counter, before attempting to locate the final few gifts for my family and avoid the massive amount of tourists, and many, many tour groups all lead by guides holding flags above their head, and moving in mass. If …
Up early to get some great photos of Rome in the morning. Then we waited for the rest of the Las Vegas group to arrive. Theresa and Vince arrived first so we took a walk down to the Trevi Fountain and had a nice coffee at a little cafe near there. Everyone else (Billy & Cathy, Dave & Rita) were there by noon and we decided a day at the …
Having seen so much in Rome on our last trip, we are looking for the unusual and artistic. Our first stop today will be the catacombs just outside the southern edge of the city.
In the first century Rome's Christians did not have their own cemeteries. If they owned land, they buried their relatives there, otherwise they resorted to common …
After an overnight flight from Las Vegas to London and then on to Rome, we arrive at our hotel very late and very tired. The rest of our friends from Las Vegas arrive tommorrow.
We were the only 2 people on the bus shuttle from the airport and had an easy transfer. Hotel was very luxurious but Maccas right next door to 5 star hotel was a bit unnerving. Very nice welcome dinner to meet the other tour people and hit it off straight away with many. Looks like a good fun group.
Tour of Rome and Vatican was great, so …

Historical Traveler Reviews Boscolo Exedra Rome
Just returned from a 10 day stay in Rome, the Exedra surpassed my expectations. One of the finest hotels that I have ever stayed in, second to none. The location could not have been more perfect, we walked everywhere, all sites except for the Vatican can reached on foot from the Exedra, and if we needed to use other forms of transpertation, the staffed arranged for us. The rooms were some of the largest I have ever seen in or out of the states. It truely was more then I could have imagined, and it made our stay in Rome more memorable. Safe to say that this was a fantastic place to stay, without question will stay there again, on my next visit!
EXCELLENT IN EVERY WAY
The most wonderful experience imaginable is to stay at this hotel.
Everything to the smallest details oozes quality. The staff are wonderful. An amazing hotel with spacious rooms. 100% delighted with our 2 night stay. Great location for seeing the sights. Would very highly recommend.
We stayed here for the first 4 days of our honeymoon 10 -14 October 03 and were blown away by how excellent the hotel was. The location is great, the rooms are stunning and we got a great deal on lastminute for E226 per night. We'd definitely come back here again.
Beautiful and Luxurious
Just returned from a nine day stay in Italy. We visited Venice, Florence, Capri And Rome. Our trip got better and better and I must say the highlight was staying at the Exedra in Rome. This hotel is first class, beautiful and the service was flawless. The rooms are gorgeous with 14foot ceilings and dramtic decor that makes you feel very pampered and special. We loved the huge two person tub! The door man was very helpful and gave excellent recommendations of places to eat and see. The Hotel is in a good location. Walking distance from Termini train station and had an entrace to the subway right outside the door.
Very convenient. I would highly recommend this hotel and a long stay in Rome!
FABULOUS!! Great location, great service...
A true luxury hotel! The rooms were absoulutely comfortable - marble bathrooms, great bedding, every amenity that you could every need...
the service was excellent as well. Also, the hotel is literally in front of a train stop (metro) and is in walking distance to most major tourist attractions. By far, this was a 5+ star hotel! I would stay there again without a doubt! I would recommend this for a traveler that is looking for comfort as well as a nice place for couples. It may be a bit pricy for families with children...
Early days- but great potential
If you're visiting Rome in the next few months then I'd recommend trying the Exedra- as the rates for a hotel of this quality are still relatively cheap (certainly for Rome). I got a superior room for £150.
It's only been open for six months and, while it's true some of the service is a little rough around the edges, it's a lovely hotel. Our room was big with a beautiful bathroom and an amazing bed. Unusually for Rome it has a pool- with amazing views from the roof. Once the spa is open you can expect prices here to soar. Go now!
Absolutley breath taking!
The previous reviewers were all right on the money. This hotel was beautiful, romantic, classy and romantic. 5 star all the way, worth the $$$. The staff was incredible. At night, it will take your breath away.
Make sure to check out the ruins on floor -1 which they have set underneath glass--very cool, we stayed September 12-14 and I am ready to go back!
The Boscolo Hotel Exedra was fabulous in every way: service, room quality, etc. Rooms were stunningly beautiful, gorgeous baths in various colors of marble. Every possible comfort. Very helpful staff.
An elegant and luxurious hotel - just finished when we stayed there in April this year. We paid a very reasonable rate (perhaps because the spa was not yet open).Architecturally beautiful building, and excellent location for sightseeing although it is close to the not particularly salubrious station area (Termini). Standard rooms not huge, but seem spacious and airy because of large french windows and high ceilings - we had a balcony.
