I can also say that throughout the trip I have rarely felt truely alone. I have no problem with spending hours in my own company, a usual day will consist of 8-10 hours on the road, during which time I watch the world go by. I don't listen to music as I ride, and I honestly couldn't begin to tell you what I think ...

Historical Traveler Reviews Executive Royal Inn North Calgary
We spent the last three nights in Calgary at this Royal Inn. The location is reasonably convenient and the price is fair at about $100 per night, which is actually cheaper than places such as Econolodge. It is easy to access the hotel south on Barlow right on 27 Ave NE. A free airport shuttle is available. The area is industrial but populated with hotels and restaurants, a moderate walk to Sunridge Mall to the east is quite doable.
I will stay some where else in Calgary
I stayed at this hotel on business for one night and I was happy it was only one night. The elevator wasn't working and they staff at the front counter wasn't very interested.
The room was very plain but clean. For a hotel over $100 a night I was expecting a little more.
I took a trip out west a few weeks ago to see what the rest of Canada had to offer (after spending my life hardly setting foot outside of Ottawa). My final stop was a week in Alberta divided between Calgary and Drumheller. During my four days in Calgary, I stayed at this hotel and have to say it was by far the best and most enjoyable stay out of the four hotels I was in during my vacation.
I had a great experience with this hotel. The decor of the room was not only beautiful but it was in great shape. I didn't even hear any noise like I usually do in hotels. The lobby was big and bright and the the hotel was easy to locate.
Well, I have stayed here on and off for the last 3 months. Unfortunately, I will never stay here again. The good things about this hotel is that they are affordable and it is fairly new. The reason I will never stay here again is that I have had valuables stolen out of my room twice from housekeeping. You can judge for yourself but here is what happened. When I went to work one day, I forgot to bring my calling card with me. When I returned to the hotel and called back to my girlfriend I was informed I had a zero balance. After I called the calling card company they informed me my callling card was used to call Nigeria at 2pm today from my hotel room. That was a little strange since I worked all day and I do not know anyone in Nigeria or all of Africa for that matter. The hotel management was less then helpful. They just said they would investigate and get back to me. Of course I never heard anything again from them.
Short and Sweet !!!
Good Hotel...I was only there for an overnighter on a business trip...but room was very good for the price. Location is close to some good restaurants and the Airport. I will stay here again without hesitation.
Clean,reasonable and convenient
I stumbled on the Executive Royal Inn a few years ago and have found myself coming back on a regular basis since. It is very convenienient for the airport traveller, parking is easy and the rooms are well appointed and clean. As for the restaurant, forget it! But don't dismay there are some excellent popular and mid priced restaurants only three minutes walk away. Rates are reasonable and I find rooms are often available when all the other hotel chains in the city are sold out. Bottom line = good value and dependable.
