An easy start to the day had us wake up to the waves crashing on the rocks after a great nights sleep in one of the nicer places we have stayed. Our next stop was at Maresh Wines, the first to be established in this area, therefore having te oldest vines. It was a hot day, in the high 30s, but the veranda overlooking the stunning views drew us. An attractive young girl, Ayla, served us and gave us a history of the place. July 25th-Friday – I slept in – the painter had come at 8 am to paint the sheds in the back yard. We had breakfast around 10. Stayed home and shared computer stuff most of the day. Yesterday was 116 degrees in Phoenix, set a new record! Cool but sunny here and 90s for next week.

... lunch in the Veggie Grill, which was the best food I have had for aaaaaaages! I had grilled Portobello mushroom with caramelised onions, garlic and puréed avocado on a bed of steamed kale with a crispy side slaw. And some sweet potato fries. Mmm mmm!
