    An easy start to the day had us wake up to the waves crashing on the rocks after a great nights sleep in one of the nicer places we have stayed.     ... I snagged some jeans from J-Crew. Mel combed through shoe stores. She came up empty-handed today but she has since drawn up new battle plans for tomorrow. We lunched at Director Park (not a green-space at all - concrete and glass) which features the Teachers' Fountain wading pool. Yes, we deserve our own Fountain. And children's wading pool.
