Last minute packing and panic....

... the pig one. They let us go eventually but said if we developed flu like symptoms to contact the national health authority.. lol
My uncle was madly waving at me when I came through to arrivals, see my aunt was suppose to pick me up so I was looking for a male, and he had aged a bit since last time I saw him. So here I was in England.. the fog lifted and it was a sunny day, lots of fields and people with funny accents.

Living the good life in Newcastle

... and loads of sandy beaches with great waves. They put us up in their annexe which is normally their space for art and their books. We sleep well - it's so quiet here. They live a completely different life to us - 100% organic, no computer, no TV, no mobile, and are very involved with the Rudolf Steiner School (opposite) where Daniel and his wife teaches. Daniel's wife milks the school cow in ...

Byron Bay, Coffs Harbour & Newcastle, Australia

... we stayed for a while. Brindice had us in stitches telling us that their campervan wouldn't start that morning and they were late for work (they work in a surf shop) so she got out to push it but she was only wearing her Wonderwoman (pronounced Woof the Woman) knickers and a t-shirt on. So she had to push the van uphill and she was getting beeped at in her Wonderwoman underpants, very funny at the time anyway! The following morning we had planned to go ...

Property of Douglas Partners Party Ltd.

... my problem". Grrr. I talked to Rachel, and managed to work something out. She wasn't sure, but she would try to get time off early to move in. I had to volunteer to pay for the one week's rent out of my own pocket, but it's better than having to try to find another flatmate to move in the day before Christmas with a week's notice. Everything was kind of working out. Trish was moving out, I wouldn't have to live with mass cockroaches chasing after their mess that they didn't ...

A Long Overdue Update

... other than the fuel mileage. It isn't insured yet, but I'm hoping to insure it soon. $500 should get me 3rd party and smashy smashy robbery coverage for the year. I've made another Sydney trip. It was a while ago, but it went well. I met a Pommy and a Dutchman. Yes, another one. They seem to be everywhere. Though to their credit, they seem to be good people. Nothing spectacular happened or was done. I went to the rocks, meandered around and got drunk with ...

Beach Duning Adventure

... were quite brown and messy looking. Our guide Allan said this is quite unusual and he's never seen the water look that bad. We took his word for it. We drove down the beach for quite a while. I think it was about 6 or 8 miles. We saw some people on horseback that looked beautiful. We were shown several artifacts from WWII including these concrete pyramids that were placed to ward off tank attacks. We stopped at a high vantage point, (the drive ...

Lies, Damn Lies and Statistics

... looked The Little Jockey in the eye and told her that I had slept with a few less than half the number the Miniskirt Bandit was saying. The rest of the conversation went a little like this: Silence. More Silence. TLJ - 'How many is a few less?' Moi - '(Long pause while I think furiously).......Three' TLJ - 'So you've slept with 27 girls?' Moi - '(Long pause while I think furiously).......Yes' TLJ - 'Including me?' Moi - ''(Really long pause while I think furiously ...

New South Wales (North)

... there were a few whales surfacing a couple of hundred metres out. Not quite close enough for a good photograph im afraid, but spectacular to say the least. Many travellers have advised us to visit a place called Nimbin while we were here, a small town situated approx. 1 hour inland, a place we will never forget. This we had to see !! Nimbin is very small indeed. This is more of a hippy town than Byron Bay and roughly a quarter of the size. Basically made up of one street, about 200m long ...

Blackbutt Reserve-KOALAS!

... to get our picture taken petting her. We got a group photo too, then headed out. We called the taxis, and got home just in time as it began to rain. We all sat around with laptops looking at pictures and sharing them around. I'll probably be doing that tomorrow, after I move in to my new house :-D! I hiked home for another stunning dinner. Today I had the rest of my chicken, buttered spaghetti noodles, and later an apple and and egg sandwich.
