... Rogers Clark is the older brother (by 18 years) of William of Lewis and Clark fame). The older brother got the biggest memorial on any American battlefield for his role in defeating the British and opening up the Northwest Territory. Huh -- maybe I should have done a little more research.

Tomorrow we move on to West Lafayette, Barb and Karl, and the clash of the titans. Hope the weather holds :0). Go Hokies!

Today was a great day. I was shooting for Flora Illinois and had no intention of riding the 150 miles to Indiana. For the first time in 2 weeks I had good riding conditions. We loaded up on our supplies for the next couple of days, and came back to the hotel to retire for the night. I can't believe how quickly the time is going by and that in about 9 days we'll be in New ...

Getting Ready to Get Out

A travel blog entry by sarahmj13 on Nov 13, 2010

I am finished reading the international travel handbook and have taken the quiz. I checked out what to wear and now need to go shopping because I don't want to be perceived as rude by wearing jeans or shorts while in Thailand. I am getting more and more excited about the trip and looking for things like gender roles while I am there, but I am also getting nervous because Thailand is one of three or four countries that imposes the death penalty for drug smuggling ...
