Today I set my sights on Bedford Indiana which is about 70 miles from where I started this morning. I knew 70 miles was doable if there was good weather. Fortunately, there was. It was about 75 degrees out with no wind. The only bad thing was the humidity. It was worse today than any other day. I rode through it though and before I knew it I was ...

Unfortunately, we did run up the bill between ...

We left Vandalia, Illinois at 6 am and headed towards our next destination of Sullivan, Indiana.
Nothing much different than yesterday, roads were flat but there was quite a bit of trailer traffic and to complicate matters no shoulder or bike lane. It was on this road that someone in a pick up truck came close enough to almost shave my legs, scary! We stopped for breakfast in Effingham, Illinois where ...

Getting Ready to Get Out

... it's just drug paraphernalia; send in the diabetic girl with a bag full of needles.
I am currently reading about Thailand and trying to take in as much information as I can before I leave. It seems like I have a long time, but I really have just over a month. I am registering with the US Embassy now and then will check back in with Moodle to see what else I need to do. So far this blog is simply for me to keep focused on what I need to still do for the trip.
