    ... was right at lunchtime . Fairly large dining area inside and al fresco with a nice view of the river. Everyone's casually dressed and very laid back, very at ease atmosphere. Sonya arrives looking great as usual. Smiling,excited,eager and hungry all in one. We get seated and order lemonade,really good stuff,and she tells me what she's ordered in her previous visits.     6th-7th August Not a great deal to talk about after yesterday as it was a driving day, we drove from New Mexico into Texas, and drove down to San Antonio, a fairly uneventful drive. When we arrived we put up tents and then most people went to enjoy the pool, which was lovely. I have decided I don't know how people survive here, the humidity and the heat are unbelievable!     ... northwest of us. We left the deer camp Monday at 1:30 after the rain stopped and drove to Eustace, Texas for the
    night. Karen and I loved our time with Todd and Nancy and their family and send them a big thank you.

    Tuesday we woke to a beautiful blue sky and drove to New Braunfels, TX. Our home for the next 6 days is at Lazy L&L along the Guadalupe River and the temp. was in the mid-20s. We walked around the property then had a great BBQ outdoors.

    ... here in 1997. San Antonio was turned into Ontario, Canada back in the 1920s. There are chandeliers hanging everywhere and opulent furniture. On the plus side, we are only a few blocks from the city centre and the famed Riverwalk. Mum and Lisa were advised that there was only one bed in the room and that they would have to share.
