Our only activity today was an attempt to get the suitcases fuller before we head home in three weeks. Tuesday we woke to a beautiful blue sky and drove to New Braunfels, TX. Our home for the next 6 days is at Lazy L&L along the Guadalupe River and the temp. was in the mid-20s. We walked around the property then had a great BBQ outdoors.
... and 5 miles to several old missions in the other direction. On Friday we hopped the bus to Riverwalk and the Alamo. I didn’t realize how big the riverwalk area is! We took a tour boat ride on the river which gave us a good overview of the entire area, then started walking. So many restaurants and cafés, so little time! We finally chose one for snacks and a drink, then on to the Alamo. Back on ...
... but I was still in search of breakfast and coffee. We found somewhere promising in the end, it was a gelateria / cafe and I thought that looked safe enough so we stopped off and got a coffee. The only breakfast thing on offer was a fruit salad though. Meh, that’ll do.
The coffee was by no means spectacular but in the absence of anything else, I wasn’t going to whinge (too loudly).
