After that we went walking, had a sandwich at the coffee shop where Isabel's nephew works, and walked along King Street, an "old" street (US standards ;-)), so charming! We visited what we thought was a vintage clothing shop with an attractive name: "an American in Paris", to find this lovely Italian lady who during twenty minutes showed and explained us every piece of clothing that was displayed. Not vintage. Very high quality ...

... as the 13th C but mostly 19th C and included contemporary works both political and stunning. Also a large exhibition, Lines, Marks and Drawings: Through the Lens of Roger Ballen, provocative, shocking, surprising, amusing black and white photographic images by NY born but long-term resident of S. Africa, Roger Ballen which also incorporate line and drawing, really challenging and wonderful.
This Smithsonian Museum led straight into the Freer/Sachler Museum, ...

... and he couldn't understand ours. Needless to stay there were lots of hand gestures and pointing. While at lunch it started snowing outside ever so lightly. The girl I was with was not impressed as she's from England and has had snow all winter but I was super excited and dragged her out in it. ... self when asked what drink, in America do not ask for tea!! I had the biggest cup ever of sweet iced tea which to put it frankly was quite revolting. I did try to drink it but that along with the actual food made me quite sick. I had a sausage McGriddle, which was gross. It was was in this sweet biscuity, muffin thing was was sweet & disgusting. Why don't they have the good old bacon rolls like in the UK on the menu....probably cos we are are in America!!

... exhausted tourists off the bus and enjoyed a nice breeze and professional narrating by the bus drivers - tour guides. Didn't cost a leg and an arm either.
We went off to see the National Air and Space Museum - worth seing every time I visited...
