... I would need exact change (which I of course didn't have) so she directed me back to the Flyer bus desk. For 18 USD I bought myself a round trip ticket to the metro station. Apparently the metro doesn't reach Dulles as would be the case at Ronald Reagan Airport. Convenient... It seems this is a political issue. ... just drove past and smiled you really get the feeling everyone has had enough but they are just doing their jobs. Ayesha and I both said how sad it was that the monuments are shut when they are paying the police to be there surely they could keep things moving smoothly. ... Jima. We took some photos of this WWII memorial. The Vietnam and Korean memorials were next. They were amazing, the Americans don't spare money when it comes to this type of thing. They were very well thought out. For example, the Vietnam veteran memorial had a statue of an African American, Caucasian and another soldier to denote all races who fought for the US. A wall of over 58000 names were listed on a wall of the the US soldiers killed or missing in action, very powerful. ...
