    ... but there was a fair bit of breaking surf near them, and we were starting to get cold when the sun was obscured by cloud, so we decided to head in over the reef, keeping right on the surface to avoid scraping our bellies. There were two other snorkelling areas further out in the bay, reached by walking around the rocks, but both were closed due to the wind.

    Well here we are on Friday afternoon. Daisie is at a friend's house, Emma is napping and David is resting and recovering from his dental surgery. I am madly making lists, muffins, cleaning and anything else I can cram into my allotted time (like writing this!!). I really want to get to packing and with a 14 month old, it gets a little challenging. I will persevere and get it done...eventually!

    ... was nearly midday on Tuesday, the 7th of January. I explored the hotel once I'd gotten ready, it was overcast and raining outside, which is pretty much the status quo for Vancouver at this time of year. My other suitcase still hadn't been found, but the airline had told me early that morning to contact them only in the afternoon.
