Vive la France!

... from a great supermarket and cheap French wine was back on the menu, so we just soaked up the sun in the park we were next to and quickly got back into the French grove.

After a couple of nights it was time to make a decision on Pairs, would we go for it or just circle the north west of France for the rest of the holiday? We finally decided to go for it and if it got to much bail out and maybe go to Chartles then head back along the coast to Dunkirk. We didn't get ...

Brugge to Paris

... We wanted to go to a museum of some sort, and we knew the Arc de Triumph was open late, so we headed over there. We were going to buy a museum pass card, which would let us into any of the museums, and the arc de triumph. We could by the card at any of these places. When we got to the Arc de Triumph, they told us we couldn't buy the pass after 5:30, and it was about 8:00pm, so we couldn't ...

C'est magnifique!

... coach (and who honestly probably won't last too long -- they are not selling as many seats as they need to). All that said, we checked in with L'Avion at EWR. All fliers on L'Avion get access to a preflight lounge with snackies, drinks, and wireless access. The snacks were yummy, but not hot (so, better than a United Red Carpet Club [not hard to do] but not as good as Air New Zealand's Koru Club... or pretty much any other club in the Star Alliance ...

I am moving to Paris

... Dame Cathedral is one of those places that you see all the time in pictures, and people had told me that it doesn't really live up to how you think it will be.   And I am telling you that those people were on drugs.  Serious drugs.  Because I freaking loved Notre Dame.  Maybe its because I am a Disney freak and kept thinking I was Esmeralda.  Maybe it was because I had fun picking out my favorite gargoyles.  I don't know, but I loved this place.  It is so beautiful ...

Chinatown & The 12th

... around. They obviously supplied restaurants also. Then we took the Metro to the Bastille. The kids wanted to go to a kids' store called La Baleine. We walked all over the 12th arr, but could never find the right street. We did see Gare de Lyon though; it's quite pretty from the outside. I really like the 12th. It looks like a great area to live. We exhausted ourselves searching for that street. We took the Metro to Republique and consoled ourselves ...

Express train to Paris!

... vibrantly colored stained glass in the world, with blue and red being the foremost colors. It takes your breath away to see the display and to realize the effort that went into creating this amazing spectacle. Once we left the church, we stopped at small sidewalk cafe for some lunch. We shared a ham-&-cheese baguette, and sipped nice red French wine as we watched Parisians go about their daily tasks. I just kept smiling and ...

Travels through Barcelona and France

... to laugh themselves silly at our attempt at French and their attempts at English. Thankfully we were able to use our French phrase book and sign language to convey our message across. They were also ringing another office where a lady had translation software and was typing things into her computer and reading them to us!! It was bloody hilarious!! But we managed to get a quote and get Misty booked in for the 23rd of January to get fixed...so this is great as we will be staying at ...

Paris

... was amazing. We spent the first day sight seeing. We went to the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower. It was so hot that we wanted to just see Paris from the nice air conditioned car. The next day we went to Versailles where Louis the XIV lived and we rented a golf cart to tour all of the gardens since they were so extensive. Later Wells got her hair cut which ...
