      ... a rain-free day and let my eye wander. I didn't take many pictures here but enjoyed the walk. Many of the pics in this entry are of odd things that caught my eye and that really don't show the cityscape too much.

      The kids did buy some clothes while here and then we caught the tram back to our hotel where we rested until going out for what we thought would be our last supper in Europe.

      Up early the next morning to catch our plane home.

      ... 254);">Made it onto the plane and, in true form, was asleep before the end of the safety briefing, the plane still on the ground. Next thing I know I am at Zurich, landing with 45 minutes till boarding starts. I had to catch a train to my terminal and my water bottle was confiscated as I stupidly forgot to empty it. Back onto a plane, my eighth of the trip so far, to Heathrow, to start my next adventure, Phase Four: Anne and James' gap 12 days. Definitely excited at what is to come.

      ... deaf ear was towards the isle rather than Bev. I would have chosen the later! Suited us fine because now I could ,have my right knee towards the isle - better for my exercises. The food (2 meals), red wine (made from Syrah, Grenache and Carignan grapes) and entertainment to Dubai was a credit to the airline. Arrived Dubai about 5.00am, we had a reasonable sleep, although Mary felt a bit groggy at one stage red wine and a sleeping tablet ...

      Over the years I've been drawn to catch many a city's Red Bus Tour (RBT) for reasons I've not hitherto contemplated. Today however it dawned upon me as to why. The RBT is simply the tourist equivalent of an 'executive summary'. A superficial overview highlighting the key points of interest for those who either don't have the time or possibly the inclination to delve deeper.       Well, the five past month were a blast. Besides amazing scenery, great culture and mostly yummy food it was definitely the people I met along my trip who made my experience in South East Asia really unique. Thanks to all of you at this point!
