... the enormous sports stadium and the first one I find happens to be a wheelchair access lift thing that takes you down to a mezzanine level where the loos are. Paul gets in too, and we find we have overloaded it and cannot get the doors open. For those who are unaware, Paul has a fear of being stuck in a lift (probably some childhood issue.....). ... s palette. I've never seen so much natural color in one place!
Tried my first of what I'd thought would be many a pastis in many locations. Don't need to revisit that drink again. Even with enough water added to it, as is the common way of drinking it, it was just 'okay'. A bit more anise than I care to taste. Still, it was pleasant enough..........

I am leaving Cap d'Ail tomorrow and heading to the farm I mentioned in my last post. It will be a long trip since I am going all the way from the SE to the NW. Luckily, that gives me an excuse to spend another couple days in Paris because the easiest way to get to Belle Ile is from there (and only a sucker would make that trip in one day). Plus I definitely did not eat enough the first time I went to Paris and it is imperative ...
