... that were looking for a spot to purchase vacation homes and apartments. Many signs in Nice are printed in French, Italian, German, And English. Manuel impressed us with his driving skills as he weaved through the extremely narrow streets to get to our hotel. He received a round if applause for negotiating a very tight corner that required him to reverse four or five times. Before we got to the hotel, a rough looking character scared our students a bit. While walking down ...

... joggers we finally made it to the hostel totally exhausted only to find the damn thing was closed !!! After sitting on the curb for a while we decided to make our way to Cannes instead. We found the train station and arrived in Cannes shortly after. Once there we had to walk to a hostel that we had looked up. We were amused by their assumption that we were planning to drive the famous road only the next day..... while our philosophy on this trip was to make the most of every day and do as much as we could, as soon as we could. We still had so much to see, still so many places to be.

We easily managed to find the Grande Corniche for a nice ...

    It's not you, it's me

... I had a moment in Nice when I became keenly aware of my culture. I may have previously gone on about the beauty of French women, but I would qualify that now to say that I admire them strictly with their clothes on. Call us old-fashioned, but it just felt wrong to see women in their 50’s topless on the beach.

So despite all of its allure, we were happy to leave Nice and move on.Sorry Nice, we're just not that in to you.
