We are exhausted. Mom brought a pedometer and it recorded us walking 13 miles today. I hurt. Early in the morning we went to the Louvre Museum and walked 6 miles through it! We saw so many famous works of art, our heads were spinning. There was a fire alarm that went off in the Louvre in the mummy section of the museum. I like to think one of the …

I am writing this from Paris! It is 10:17 pm. Mom and I have been awake for 36 hours with only about 3 hours of sleep (if you can call it that) on the plane. ... Finally we found out whatwhat was going on. When we got to the bus ticket line it was chaos. So we caught a taxi. Then, we got stuck in traffic. Luckily our driver took us another way and we finally made it to the hotel. The hotel is really nice, but only Usain Bolt could make it to the Eiffel Tower in 25 mins (which is what the hotel website quotes). So Ant and me walked the 1 hour to get to the Eiffel Tower stopping for a pastry and drink on the way. Luckily there wasnt ...

... worth the second mortgage. Robyn, Jane and I had dinner in a small local restaurant suggested by Philippe. Owner didn't speak English but was a good bloke. Jane had got his ok earlier to allow us to bring a birthday cake. None of the other guests joined in the chorus of 'happy birthday'. Pretty sure I heard someone mutter "...stupid english" in French. But my French isn't very good. In fact, I dont know any French ...
