Day 16 - The Monte Carlo

A travel blog entry by stephroberts

... It can be quite disorienting to when your used to paying the person that serve you and ten they ask you in another language to pay elsewhere! It was a very good croissant though! It had a subtle salty taste which was nice :). After strolling through the small streets for a whole we went back to the hotel to book another night and pay for some wifi. We made good use of the wifi too, you tuning comedians and then quickly looking up trains for the ...

We bid fond farewells to Feelie, Felix, Ina, and Lisa, packed up the car, and drove east. We were headed to St Paul de Vence, where Annie, Emily, and I lived a decade ago. with shops and restaurants with outdoor seating. We made our way
to the bottom of the street where we found a restaurant with an outdoor table large

I woke at 7am to the steady thrum of the dredging ship hoovering up sand 50 metres off shore and pumping it back up on to the beach. I'm not averse to a little land reclamation but this started at 10 pm last night and ended at 7am this morning. Thank you for being so considerate of the day tripper and punishing those that "live" here. All the same, a tremendous job as a whole beach has been replaced in a night and looking at the bigger picture, the right thing was done. ...
