In the hope of getting out of the bad weather of Les Deux Alpes, we headed for our next stop near Lac De Paladru, unfortunately we didn't, if anything the weather was worse with almost constant rain for the 2days we stayed, we were still recovering from our bugs so we again spent most of our time in the van..

We took a couple of walks out in between the showers so again not much to report here....

Just a pin in the map!

Off I set first up Col de Leschaux which is similar to the one in twenty ...

We had a bite to eat in one of the restaurants on Aravis and I loaded up on water for the rest of the ride. Some of you may recall that on our last trip to Europe on motorcycles, our stops revolved around me having a local beer and Connie a strong coffee. This time around it seems to be me getting a liter of water and Connie having a Crepe. I left Connie behind to do some souvenir hunting and made my way down the mountain. It was ...

Aix les Bains - Water town

A travel blog entry by brisbird

Today we headed to Aix Les Bains - renowned for its thermal spa and nearby lake. After an early check-in at 2pm at our hotel, we got back in the car and headed towards the old town looking for a car park. This turned out to be fruitless as there was not a spot to be found. It seemed that on this holiday everyone was in the town centre. We returned to the hotel and decided the 20min walk would do us good. I found it a little on the chilly side ...
