... had us on the road. An hour and some change later we were pulling up a few blocks from the piazza. Both yesterday at Piazzale Michelangelo and today in Pisa we found out about the African equivalent of those parking systems we have everywhere now. With limited parking the street sellers camp in the spots and chaperone you down the street to the waiting spot, well worth a euro or ...

After our time at Monteroso we caught the train to the next village Vernazza. The shops are so inviting full of hand made wares. By 5pm we were on the train back to La Spezia where we boarded the bus again for Milan. The drive was lovely and our guide explained much about the agriculture and lifestyle of people of Northern Italy.

It was a long hot day, we were back in Milan about 8.30pm, and took advantage of the long evenings by ...

... what goes on tour.. stays on tour!!"... ARGH.. I don't want to know (but damn I hope I'm like that when I'm older haha).
So I finally got back to our room, after picking up a few more beers and some Italian goodies (mozzarella, pesto, tomatoes)..and found Simon already downing a beer with our new Australian room mates!! haha. We had a great night chilling out on the terrace enjoying the sunset and a good italian antipasti feed! I ...

... right off. Maybe it wasn't screwed on tight, but a piece of plastic broke off and we couldn't fix it.

Anyway, off we went in search of dinner. We ate at the Ristorante Al Carugio. John had spaghetti with pesto & I had the seafood ravioli. Delisioso! After dinner we strolled around town for a while, then returned to find that our towel, which had been hanging on our little clothesline, was gone. Beware the beach towel thieves of Monterosso!

... Not only did we have no heaters, sleeping bags, or pillows, we only had damp, sweaty clothes left. This was easily the worst sleep of my life. Morning could not have come soon enough. Fortunately, we all survived the night, and will probably look back on this and laugh someday… just not today.

Anyway, I ended up making it to work on time and ended up having a highly productive day! All in all, not a bad weekend, just one that I hope not to have to repeat again!
