... he is a local that left the village but has now returned! Haha. The hospitality of the people is truly amazing. We have pizzas but they aren't very good despite them being amazing a few years ago. The place is packed full of people and there is a huge line of people siting to get in. I think P and O are a family cruise and the interior of the ship is tired but clean. I would like to go on a celebrity ship next eg Celebrity Solstice which cruises out of ...

A travel blog entry by bridgez on Jul 16, 2015

Today is our last dreaded day at sea. We slept late, grabbed a surprisingly good burger, and sat by the pool. Just when we were ready to return to our room, the day's movie, Skyfall, came on the big screen outdoor TV. So we jumped in the pool and watched the movie! We eventually made it back to the room and prepared for our formal dinner night. We ended up sitting with an 80 year old couple (both teachers) for England and had a fantastic conversation! Score one for the geriatric ...

... It's a lovely little place and not that many tourists compared to most. Highly recommend a day visit. We chose a restaurant out of the hustle and bustle and enjoyed a nice lunch of traditional Italian fare, wine and beers. We then headed back to Messina, and opted to get out at the cathedral and look at the Duomo. We capped off the very warm day with a visit to the gelato shop, before re-boarding our ...
