... was a lot of fun to talk to my tutor and his daughter. I fell asleep and didn't wake up until 10 on thursday. So I just got around, read my book, and stefania and I walked to the grandparents house again for lunch. It was delicious. There was also Danila's other collegue with his wife and 2 daughters there. We walked in and it look quite amazing. There were so many countries from all over the world there. They had built a building to represent them and their culture. The exteriors were quite grand!

After I farewelled Liam and Dad on their train to Paris I had an hour to look around Lourdes. Lourdes is the second most visited city in France after Paris due to its holy water and the grotto where Mary is supposed to have appeared. I went to see both and was struck by the strangeness of it all. Like so ...

... they want 3 days to do the washing etc, which we do not have. So some hand washing ensued! Hotel is nice and a short distance from the main attraction here, the Duomo (Milan Cathedral). Had a short thunderstorm just before tea, which was simple spaghetti. Early night tonight before a look around Milan tomorrow. Will venture on the hop on, hop off bus. No photos until tomorrow. ...
