... choice of tracks! Mac and I, ladened with our version of packs (including the new little grey number), with food and sleeping bags followed at a much slower pace. We were oohing and aahing our way along the 4 km trail, chatting with hikers who passed us and stopping regularly for photos. We made the 4 km trip in 90 minutes and at one stage Mac did remind me that Michael used to run the 1500 metres in 4 minutes. We were a bit outside that PB. Couldn't help ...

For the past 10 days I've been in Whistler, Vancouver hence why the lack of travel blogs! We flew from Boston to Vancouver with a lay over in Denver, Colorado where we had a small delay but eventually landed and met Tabitha's parents in Vancouver airport. Luckily no more subways or megabuses, we joined Tabitha's parents in a very comfortable ride up to Whistler village with a private driver. The journey took around 2 hours, unfortunately we couldn't see the sights on ...

All checked in, we headed through security for a Maccies lunch before boarding our flight ...

... everyone in there as only the people that knew him knew about the event. But it has been a tough few weeks on everyone in the town. I went to Vancouver Island for 5 days to go and get my fix of the surf! I dropped Livia off at the airport then proceeded to catch the ferry! It was a beautiful cruise across to the island. I got off the ferry and drove straight to Tofino. It took about 3.5 hours to get there. It was getting dark pretty early and the road is pretty windy so it ...

... still amazing. We met a couple from Gulgong and (small NSW country town that Dons grandparents lived in for many years) they were over to visit their son who had fallen in love with whistler and moved ( along with all of Australian uni defer students). Once back on Whistler mountain we hiked down and then up to the extension chair lift that takes you to the actual peak of the mountain. This weekend was the kick off to a 3 week mountain biking event called Crankwork ...
