... building, let alone sharing a room with this guy! It was SO random, I loved it- we had a good catch up about what she's up to, it was awesome to see another friendly face.
Oh my word this is turning into a long blog, I do apologise. Be encouraged that there is only one more day to go.
We didn't end up going out in Whistler- I was pretty tired from my early start and day of skiing, and Mel from her day's work. Plus it's pretty pricey on a Saturday ...
Enjoying a few family days at home, including Thanksgiving turkey dinner with US friends. We went over charts of Turkey and Greece with them in preparation for their trip next summer and this brought back all sorts of wonderful memories of our many trips there.
... than there are two bedrooms which are ok, they need more space for clothes and stuff thou, we will survive, it's good to finally have our own little place...We are starting to meet people, mostly aussie, everyone seems nice...we don't start work till dec but we can't wait to start working the tube park is meant to be really fun...We will be heading up the mountain for some skiing and boarding later in the week when we get our ...

Starting to plan our trip to South America, which will start in Colombia (via a couple of days in Miami). We then plan to travel on to Venezuela and down into Brazil, where we will travel by boat along the Amazon to the coast and hopefully make it to Salvador in time for Carnival!

... paths which lead us past streams and lakes and over bridges. But, after spending 2.5 hours pedaling on what seemed to be mainly uphill climbs, we shed our helmets and ordered a beer at the the first pub we hit on our way back into town.
Although we did not want to depart so soon, we look forward to coming back in the future, but next time during the winter months when we can take full advantage of the ski slopes.
I travelled throughout western Canada as part of a teen tour (Rein Teen Tours - Grand Adventure) in Summer 1998. We stopped in Whistler, where we snow skied on Blackcomb Mountain, walked across the Capilano Suspension Bridge and strolled through the quaint town of Whistler.
Whistler, British Columbia, Canada ml902... like a magical place and all i could think of was how amazing it would look covered in snow, lol. So theres my next plan, to save and come back and ski. We had a very relaxing 2 days, walking and shopping and having cups of tea. It was a shame to leave but i was also looking forward to Vancouver Island and having a home for more than 4 nights.
Whistler, British Columbia, Canada atollafield... weiner wrappers' in a tin and learnt about half/half, which apparently as half cream/half milk everyone has in their coffee! Then contined the drive up to Whistler, getting freaked out by left hands turns and being able to turn right on a red light and drove the gorgeous 'sea to sky highway'. Was given some very interesting information by my tour guide and chaffeur...who told me about lion bay ...
Whistler, British Columbia, Canada soozluecke... leave. My friends who I met here come from England ,Australia and Japan. After the season most of them are going home.Thats too bad.We cannot see each other easily. Thats the life, Thats the Whistler. I am also the person who is leaving Whistler. Thanks for good summer. I got totally fun days with u guys. See you in the world.
Whistler, British Columbia, Canada tomocoWell. Here we are. One day before we head out on our 4 month odyssey....... Its been in the planning stages for almost a year. Tickets we've had since April. Now we are just waiting patiently, going over our bags not to forget anything. Beijing is a balmy 22 degrees, sunny and the outlook for the next few days....SUNNY! We take off on Wednesday October 5th at 12:50!!!!
