... we took a bus to the domestic flights. On the way there was moment that confronted me with the reality of India. It was the first time in my (conscious) life that I saw a slum with my own eyes. It’s an image you don’t easily forget. It was a complete mess, tightly sealed off from the airport with fences and barbed wire.
