I couldn't really get a picture of this but - eight o'clock in the morning and some young bloke comes into the toilet, puts his beer down on the floor next to him, has a leak, picks up his beer and walks out. I wasn't hungry but these kiosks are for me typically European. And herring sandwiches sound sufficiently exotic that I had to try one. They're only €2.60 ...

... alongside the river. The first view was just amazing over the river showing how beautiful this large, industrial style, German city could be. Our walk took in the river and many river boats and showed the large cruises that people could take. After about 15 minutes of walking we reached the centre of Frankfurt.
