... re not allowed to cycle then as its too dangerous, so anyone not likely to make it is swept into the truck and driven to the final destination.

Riding into the town was chaotic, dangerous and fun. There were people, cars, cows and pigs in the road and us cyclists ringing our bells as load as we can to cut our way through the melee. ... mountain drop! A summary of my trip inside the coach: Hour 1: Concentrate with all my will power to keep the rising sick feeling from landing on the blanket on my lap. The feeling successfully subdued until - Hour 2: Woman, 2 rows behind, begins to throw up, and continues to be sick for the next hour - seriously! By the end she was throwing up nothing, but we all know this is the noisiest kind of wretch. She continued right up until - Meal break! ...

... glass and nails and of course dog poo! Not a blade of grass in sight. The fitness gear was non-existent and the temperatures were around 6C during the day without anything resembling heating! That was fine for Megs and I sharing a bed though. Ahhh, I just loved it!! I appreciated everything that we DID have including a wonderful Amala that cooked us amazing Tibetan and Indian meals every meal time.
It was great watching our new daughters ...

... animals in our campsites, be they goats, sheep,cows or yaks. The question is not if,but what sort of poo one steps around at night. I mention it this time because of a certain little black steer. He must have Ben short of salt or something, because he was raiding our clothes lines and tents, looking for clothing to chew on. Three times items were rescued from his maw, we city types doing our best as cow herders,and looking, I'm sure, quite foolish as we coaxed the cycling shorts away ...
