We're in luck with the weather. Apparently the monsoons are hitting all of India except the far North where we are, so we have a sunny day. The bad news is that the rain is moving north so we should get it in the next day or two. Moderately cool as we leave Shimla for a convoluted exit through the narrow winding streets and traffic. Once out, it is more of the steep sided hills covered in greenery with houses dotted about. A general ...

After asking around several groups, I finally investigate the taxi prices. After some debate I agree a price for one way up to the hills, as I want to walk back. The taxi ride was beaut up to the cave. The cave itself was surrounded by a small Buddhist Village but the cave was very ...

Back on Track - Love India!

I think the most daunting thing in India I've had to face so far, has been myself. India is always here. And it'll be here when I leave. It's me that has to be here and deal with it, for the weeks I am here. As I read my book a great quote hits me: Time is but a stream I go a-fishing in'! Brilliant! I'm back on track! I'm back to feeling relaxed and content like I was in the Ladakhi hills. When I've had both the space and the time to breathe and appreciate ...
