... to St Kilda and whilst it was lovely to see the tiny Penguins that live in the rocks along the pier it would not be our favourite beach. The Main Street of St Kilda has a good range of cafes for breakfast but does seem to be in a bit of a time warp, this does lend itself however to some great people watching over a coffee.
A visit to the old port of Melbourne is worth the 4 km walk from Southgate , or you can take a tram if the rail trail ...

Our time had come to eat and when we arrived the waiter told us that the cast of 'Hi 5' were to dine as well, so not only were we treated to a great lunch, but also in the company of one of Australia's finest children's entertainers.
After an excellent luncheon, we got the tram back up to the CBD where we planned to tick off a huge section ...
