We were pretty tired after that so we took a ride on the old tram around the city centre before heading back to the hostel for a rest before dinner. We've got more to see yet but I think Melbourne is my favourite Australian city so far. There's lots of history here and a more cultured feel about the place. ...

... there was a small delay with the flight, some quick calculations were undertaken to ensure that I still have sufficient time at LAX to clear immigration and get to the Alaska Airlines flight to Portland, Oregon. Apparently the delays at LAX can be long...well we shall see. At times one can forget how fortunate I am to be able to get such a long time off work and have a family which supports such a undertaking, its only when I start ...
