    ... waters during spring time and completely freezes over in winter. Some years it's possible to walk from shore to shore across its frozen mass. Our trip from Salzburg was short at only 1.5 hours so we arrived in the early afternoon after a decent sleep in.     ... but we had to cross the road, the cars were speeding along a bit nerve racking! Arriving at the lake I thought it was going to be just tourist land, there was a huge car park, tourist info, shops and restaurants. Once we got on the boat, it was.
