... goats, and sheep. As soon as Elofonisi came into view, we knew that the drive had been worth it. The beach has several inlets of turquoise water, set off by the white and pink sand. This part of the island can have very strong winds, so we headed to the more protected side of the beach and found ourselves some 3.5 euro lounge chairs under tiki style umbrellas. From there on, the day slipped lazily by as we alternated people watching, gazing out at e ...

... fantastic seafood. At the end of the meal we were given free desserts and shots of vodka, an interesting way to end lunch! We are all tired of talking, except for Jack, of course.

We are tired of unfamiliar food, and miss our own beds. We have been away so long, it sometimes feels as though we have abandoned our friends and we get excited at a friend email. They are few and far between ...

... for our 45 minute journey along the scenic coastline. The water was an incredible blue and Evie practiced her photo skills by snapping a few dozen pics along the way. Arriving in Souglia we bought our bus tickets and a bottle of water from the bakery (as instructed) and board the surprisingly modern local bus. An hour and 15 minutes later we were back at our car and we scampered to our car to zoom ahead of the bus and other tourists for the hour long drive back to our ...
