It's heavy on history and food , proudly being the birthplace of a former Pope (Paul III) .The local food delicacy is Olive all'ascolana - veal-stuffed fried olives. ... a wedding, there are the cloisters, therefectory, Chapter house, wine cellars including a wine making museum. The hotel building is in the same style as the monastic buildings, and our room is spacious and pleasant. The staff, however are all women who seem the have undergone a charisma-ectomy. The appear to be inexperienced and perhaps overworked. Dinner at the hotel restaurant is unremarkable. More to come + ...
