    ... formal function...Capitano Yano's "Magnifique 7 Captains Dinner"...all are asked to wear their Italian finery. It was a long, but interesting sail into Jesolo - the official moorings looked unpleasant so we decided to travel downstream further and came across a "sort" of mooring in a nicer part of town.     ... 8230;it's nuts.

    We've tried our best to eat every Italian food we could think of---lasagne, pasta, meatballs, gelato, pizza, tiramisu (only conollis left--wrong spelling I'm sure, but I don't feel like looking it up!). Ridiculous-looking pastries everywhere! We may come back 10lbs heavier.

    ... location right close to lots of the more famous attractions. The hotel manager Michelle was totally awesome! He gave us complimentary coffees when we arrived and took our bags. He informed us that they had decided to upgrade our room for us and that they would give us a complimentary drink later in the evening when we came back - love this guy.
