      ... formal function...Capitano Yano's "Magnifique 7 Captains Dinner"...all are asked to wear their Italian finery. It was a long, but interesting sail into Jesolo - the official moorings looked unpleasant so we decided to travel downstream further and came across a "sort" of mooring in a nicer part of town.       ... up, got ready and made our way to the island. We saw this cookie called zaleti with chocolate chunks in it yesterday so we decided to try that. We then went to the island of murano to find some demonstrations of glass blowing and to find more pieces of jewelry and the other items they make with the glass.       ... expect 360 views of the whole city. Well worth the 16 EU, A little expensive but had to remember it is island prices, and Italy's most expensive city. Across the main square was the main basillia/cathedral. It was almost identical to the blue mosque in Istanbul, which is ironic as the blue mosque use to be a Catholic Church in the beginning.       ... called our Airbnb contact for the apartment we'd rented, and were on our way. The girls were both out cold on the boat (see picture), but livened up after dropping our bags at the apartment and heading to the corner cafe for their first Italian coffee.
