STORM AT LAST

A travel blog entry by deantyrrell on Aug 08, 2014

... picked up. A small tornado started to form. The whole town went into a giant powercut. The lights eventually came back on, but then the thunder and lightning started. We had to run back to the campervan as soon as we had finished as Dad realised that we had left the windows right open. We got back and Mum and Dad's bed was soaked and the floor had a big puddle! Eurostar was very cool - super smooth, super fast - we barely knew we were moving but out the window the country-side was whizzing past. The trip from London to Paris took just over two hours with only about 20 mins in the tunnel. Although pumped for taking a train under the water, in the event Bronte and Flynn couldn't care less.
