Today was my first mistake while sparring. The first great mistake. I stopped when noticed somebody behind my back. And didn't lower my hands to block tge kick. So I missed it, right near the solar plexus. Couldn't breathe in for some time. Very little time indeed, about 10 seconds, still they seemed to be 10 minutes for me. Blurred gym and fear. So on my way out of town I visited Brest Fortress,

... Russian, and our Russian wasn’t great. We would try and ask people stuff and all they said was ‘nyet!’ We were starting to wonder what we were doing in this country of Belarus, totally on our own, no guide, no clue, no luck. Oh, but things always have a way of improving. So when we entered a ritzy hotel, our luck changed. Someone actually spoke English and gave us directions to the Information Centre. We were previously told there wasn’t one.
