Stranded in St Moritz
... walking the streets at all. Each and every shop is closed; the place is totally dead to say the least!!! The only people walking the streets were tourists such as myself who I suspect were also wondering why everywhere was closed!! Ok yes it is Sunday but surely there must be a few small shops and cafe's open?? No, there was not a single shop open in this whole town.

Andermatt to St Moritz 10-11-12
On getting up this morning the first thing I did was take a look out the window of my hotel into the streets of Andermatt. The weather looked rather damp and the streets of were awash with water. If this is what it's like at this altitude then what’s it going to be like over the high ground of the passes??? Will there be snow on the roads???

Chur and the train trip to Morges
A pretty rugged night sleep but we know that tonight we will be back in Morges in beds that we will sleep well. A few hours to kill so we look around Chur, a lovely place and we note a Gondola - aerial this time - thinking this could be a good thing to do. So off we head. Sondrio, Tirano and the Bernina Express
... Now aboard the Bernina Express, 4 hours wandering through the Swiss Alps from Tirano in Italy to Chur in Switzerland and it doesn't disappoint.
