    A little ways on from Pervalka, the track turned west and headed through more pine forest towards the Baltic coast. I deviated from the main bike track for a bit to head to the beach for a bit. By now the day was quite warm and mostly sunny. After leaving the beach, I backtracked until I got back to the bike track. It is on the top floor...actually its the attic...of an apartment block just off the main street in the town.     ... the ponds functioned as an alternate water supply, or were for recreation. But he said lots of people in this area have saunas (not as hot as in Scandinavia) and like to jump into cold water after a "schvitz" (my word, not his.)
