Lovely days run today,left about 10am,and headed up the A1 for 100 miles or so,side winds were horrendous. Arrived in Klaepedia,and caught a ferry onto Penisula,which we followed for 25 odd miles,to arrive in Nida,a gorgeous tiny place with hardly anybody there. Nida is the farthest point on the Curonian Spit in Lithuania, a springboard to its natural beauty from Klaepedia with Russian Kaliningrad as it's neighbour It is a short ferry ride from Klaepedia which was a nazi submarine base in WW11 The weather is glorious again, would love to stay an extra night but we are still worried about the tyres on the horrendous Russian roads and still considering dumping them in Riga or Tallinn if we can find some Metzlelers ...
