    ... us to a village where there was a museum dedicated to the Russian occupation and outside the museum was a group of women who were sent to Siberia as children and managed to return to Lithuania. The group sang for us and told stories of Siberia and the Russians. Finally our bus visited an old RAF pilots home which was deep in the country and he told us stories of Lithuania and we drank homemade apple juice which was the best I have ever ...

    ... out. This looks to be a bit of a poor place, it is a Port town and there doesn't appear to be a lot of community money spent on the place. The average wage is around $250 per week.That said there is a nice river that runs through it and the time we had this morning before the crowds was pleasant. There was a fair amount of activity on the river with various sorts of rowing races and bands performing along the banks. Just next to our berth in what would normally be a car ...

    ... the ship and took one final picture of the sea ghost statue by the rotating draw bridge. We even prompted a Harry Potter look-alike to pose inside of the statue. With no idea what to expect in Klaipeda, we certainly are glad to have had the opportunity to learn and see more about this town.We're casting off at 1800 and are expected to arrive in Visby at 0700 tomorrow ...
