    ... We were very impressed with the dedication to Rossi - there were numerous posters and other memorabilia to look at, menus with Rossi symbols, 46 chips on sale and even Kerrie's coffee came decorated with the famous 46. The only thing we couldn't find was a postcard to send!

    Unfortunately, even though Greg joined the local gathering of men on a bench in the shade, there was no sign of the great man himself. Kerrie did eventually find ...

    ... of those places high on the tourist list with 12 tour buses parked at the bottom of the hill and another 3 arriving as we rode passed. We found a spot to park after getting some friendly directions from the local constabulary and put on walking shoes for our exploration of the fort. The views from the top are spectacular. Tourists from many countries could be heard among the crowd but the most eye-catching would have to be 3 German boys complete with lederhosen- very stylish. ...

    ... Athens drivers (by a hair) and then settled in to plan what we would be seeing in Athens. Top of the list was the Acropolis – no not the Milk Bar!!

    Public transport in Athens was very civilised! You could buy a five-day pass for less than 10 Euros, which would cover buses, trams, Metro as well as suburban trains. You could also buy a multi-pass for four days which would give you access to five different attractions in Athens, so it looks like we ...

    ... the Ducal Palace (though why she needs alcohol when she is so high on art remains a mystery!) and then returned to the hotel to relax and freshen up before dinner.

    Tomorrow we move on to Parma (famous for its cheese) by way of a four hour taxi, bus and train trip. The actual travel time is much less than this, but of course you have to allow for connections etc. Meanwhile, enjoy the blog and the photos ...
