Had breakfast at Hotel then went up to see Linda and say goodbye to Wolfgang. Jan then drove us into Saarbrucken for the day as he had to spend time with Linda making arrangements for the funeral. Walked around the lovely St Johann Market Place with pretty shops and restaurants and down along the river bank. Jan picked us up and back to our hotel. Next to Verzy is the village of Verzenay. Verzenay is very quiet, surrounded by fields of grapevines and home to many wine caves. From Saarbrucken tomorrow we are going to Wurzburg, to begin our journey down the Romantic Road in Bavaria. Bye for ...

... statues for churches with the main characters (Saints Etc.) surrounded by angels and cherubs, all in the one piece of statuesque artwork. The town now is French although it has changed hands with Germany many times and most people speak French and German fluently. Another big storm was approaching so we cut off our sightseeing and made our way back and so did not get to see any of the Fayence’s in the museum. We did see the Palais of Justice with the ...
