Bbq and trip
... will be fun. It's sprinkling out and cloudy, so unfortunately we won't be outside for the BBQ, but it should be fun. The other problem is that most of the students are feeling the pressure of work. They have a paper that is coming due in a couple weeks (the undergrads do) as well as a book that we all have due in a few weeks. Most claim they will sit at their desks and work. We'll see.

Not to be outdone the drinks waiter would not provide us with a carafe of tap water saying that the water is not drinkable. There is only bottled water available!!! It is well publicised that a 15% service charge is added to all drinks order. This is accepted and we have no problem with that. However, when we agreed to take a bottle of still mineral water, the waiter didn’t even go away ...
Due dates
... Genovians to have that. While we aren't going to put hotel guests and residents in the same building, we are going to tie the buildings together to sort of have one building, but a little separation. Another thing with the terracing is that it mimics the topography, both natural and architectural, of the city. 3. embrace the harbor. We want to extend the public's access to the water. We did it by a promenade, but the suggestion came back to pull the harbor up into the buildings. ...
