Cruise Phase 1
... the ports at the same time as us which makes it busy and crowded. As you would expect, most of our sightseeing is limited to the areas around the ports. Time and opportunity prohibits in depth exploring, but it certainly allows us to get the flavour of the different places we have visited.

Arrived in Heraklion
... other (they're only having a conversation really!) and all sorts of airport staff sat in a long line wearing sun glasses and smoking cigarettes. We jump in a taxi straight away and for 12 euros we reach our Hotel. The city is only 4 kilometres west of the airport and it only takes 10 minutes to get there. Heraklion to Mykonos - Ferry Trip from hell
... so someone told us to go down the other end of the port and get on another ferry that only goes to Santorini. We were told that there are lots of ferries that go from Santorini to Mykonos. For reason I wasn’t so convinced and I was close to saying to Troy lets go to the airport but no we have already paid our ferry tickets.

Goodbye Crete
... port and go the Hellenic Seaways office and yeah we got two tickets to Mykonos tomorrow so don’t know what that agent was going on about. Troy seems to think you cannot buy tickets online within 24 hrs so we went directly to the office. Well with tickets in hand we decide that we are not spending tonight in Heraklion so we head east.

Beautiful Elafonissi Beach
... bags to the beach this time with our cameras. We spent the entire day at Elafonisi Beach. We swam a lot amongst heaps of day trippers, heaps of Italians. Incredible how many European girls and guys all think they are super models and pose like one for a photo. Seriously I don’t get why they do that, like they are all bloody porn stars.
