Europa Vicenza

partie de venise en train a midi pour se rendre a verone en une heure. une fois a verone, nous avons marcher la ville de long en large pour y voir, une arene romaine, encore en bonne etat et meme parfaois utiliser pour des spectacles d'opera. ensuite nous somme aller voir la fausse maison de juliette puis en suie nous avons monte la tour du palais au centre de la ville. 368 marche ...

Partie en autobus pour Padova, une
petite ville tout pres de venise, nous avons passer la journee a
visiter cette ancienne capital venitienne, ou les tramway moderne
circule dans des rues de pave ancient!. Les fortification sont
toujours la, mais elle sont souvent cahe par de nouveau batiement
construit en dehors des murs. Au centre, il y a un parc remplis de
statue, la ou ce trouvais l'arene romaine il y a tres longtemps! Nous
somme aller ...

Castelvechio was also pretty cool and had some great art inside.

Stopped at Osteria Verona in the main square for some predinner drinks and had some awesome house wine before going to La Taverna Di Via Stella for dinner. Really nice place with friendly staff and great food. Had ...

So we only stopped here for a couple of hours as a rest stop but it was pretty cool.

We left Trieste, and set off for Venezia, and to visit some of Dad's friends who had visited Vanuatu a couple of times on sailing trips. Since they have always live on boats, their house was so small and almost looked like living on a boat as well! It was so cute, and very unlike a typical Italian house!! We had lunch there....mmm...moustache fish!! Haha ...

... of accompanying the people I work with for a lovely dinner at the Officer's Club in Verona  arranged by Mr. Robert Generilli. What an enjoyable day. It felt like Sunday dinner with the family. When we emerged from the old fortress where the club was housed it was pouring rain. Without hesitation Tamara headed toward the main streets where we stopped in a store to pick up some umbrellas and continued to stroll down Piazza Bra past the Arena and ...

... fabrics that my Mum can weave into amazing things, but that wqas not open either. It is a public holiday in Italy!!!! and it is a Saturday. OK, off to Geneva where we will stay tonight. Screeech, a factory outlet on the side of te motorway, we did a little shoppong there and it was good to get out some of the frustration we had.

... getting lost because you never know what you'll find that you didn't expect and that's part of what makes traveling so exciting. We finally made it back to St. Marco's and if we thought it was crowded the night before, it is indescribable how many people spread out all over the city-which just added to the celebratory atmosphere. ... late and we actually left on time. I remember absolutely nothing about the flight as I was sound asleep before we even took off - but I was jolted awake when we landed ******* the runway and when I looked out the window - couldn't see a thing - yikes! Jim couldn't believe the fog and that we landed in it. Well - we got back to the hotel - thankfully they had a room ready for us - and we were able to get in and get all settled. I did some ...

... for the eyes and ears. We got dinner at this place near the Friggatore. It was really busy, and our poor waiter was working his ass off. I had a salmon Linguine, and a Pork Chop to DIE FOR! The experience wasn't as nice as the night before, but we still enjoyed ourselves... how could you not?!?! We went back to the hotel, a little loopy and watched the episode of LOST and 2 of Kelly's cruise ship shows, all over ANOTHER bottle of wine we picked up in Milan. What a fun night!
