Dresden, Saxony, Germany cariverga... a little tour of Dresden too which was really nice! There are some pretty impressive old building. Well technically they are old but were almost destroyed in the war. They have only been rebuilt in the last 5 to 10 years which is amazing! Had a wicked Turkish vegie plate then said our goodbyes and got on the train back to Berlin. Back to public transport for us!
... I yelled it out! Herron Paracetamol has been my savour. I pop a couple of those and I walk around on a cloud. Music sounds better, everything looks prettier.
I'm off to Munich for Oktoberfest now. Don't know how I am going to handle drinking a beer. Probably going to mix it with some Paracetamol!

... may surrender. Many civilians were killed and beautiful buildings destroyed. The actual city of Dresden is over 800 years old, all that was lost in 1945.
After a two hour train trip north, I was suddenly in southern Germany, another country. You go two hours north in Australia, you might be at the next town in most cases. I was just getting used to Czech way of life, and I was totally overwhelmed when I got out of the station. But for a super-tourist ...
... as if going to Berlin and then swerved and flew over Dresden.
The first two runs were British with the final run being American. Our guide said the first run concentrating on dropping what I would call percussion bombs which blew out windows and doors. This was to create wind tunnels. The second run dropped small incendiary bombs which would start a small fire. The fires were so small they could easily be put out with a bucket of water, a ...
Although weather in summer this year was not very growthy, we were lucky that on this day it was a marvellous day. A bit chilly, but sunny.
We also invited my husband´s aunt Blanka to join us as it was her birthday. I was driving and everything went smoothly on the road so we reached Dresden in about an hour and a couple of minutes.
Jirka and I are both zealous geocachers so we started our tour at the Church of the Holy Cross ...

Dresden, Germany v1213We woke up in Berlin and once again packed up our stuff. We stopped at Checkpoint Charlie before leaving and had breakfast/lunch at Cafe Adler - after the wall came down and there was a demonstration outside of Checkpoint Charlie, there were people all around Cafe Adler - it was cool to eat at a historic place like that... Anyway, we left and drove to Dresden. Once we got there, we checked into ...
Dresden, Germany koehlers... some people. Last night I went to a bar with Janet. I like her so much. We talked about all sorts of things and worked on my German. Next week we may both take an afternoon from work to go to a castle! Wednesday night I did tai aerobics with Anja. It was very tiring. I was shocked at how comfortable everyone was just walking around naked. I could never do that.
