Luckily, the young man that was about to sit beside me agreed to take Rob's seat in row 25 so Rob could move back to sit with me. Good leg room on this plane, but not nearly as good service or food as on the way over. Never thought I would miss those steaming hot towels we got on the Lufthansa ...

I think I've already described what this trip has meant to me in my daily rambles but I have a few last thoughts before we start our long journey home. They were given some 6 years ago when the restaurant opened and they add to it every day to keep it active. If the person that does this is on holidays, someone else is entrusted to take their place. What a concept.
The drive back was interesting as Rob has never driven these highways at night time. As ...

Exploring and Burning Rubber in Southern Italy

... I also had the best lemon granita (like a slushy but much more elegant!) I have ever tasted. This is a very pretty town and the houses are almost orange in colour as opposed to the grayish, beige, yellow tones we've seen. Also, the streets are lined with gelato places making it even more of a must see! This is where Rob burned rubber in Pizzo as we had to back track and do multiple u-turns to get into the gelato place parking lot. He may be a "snowflake" ...
