6 weeks left here in benidorm before a flying visit back home to see everyone then im off to Thailand, Oz and Fiji for a few months travelling.
Currently loving the 'dorm, its probably the most random and bizzare place to rep and although its a bit quiet at the moment having amazing nights out with the rest of the fantastic team we have here, still time to come and see me!!!
... pass by to help out in the garden, baking bread, gathering wood, repairing parts of the house and taking care of the two and a half donkeys (Trinity is pregnant) and the chickens. I felt really welcome and felt directly at home and part of the whole project. We helped out wherever we could: gathering and carrying wood ...
Alcoy, Valencian Country, Spain and Canary Islands holadiyo... was closed. It was not only a Sunday but the church holiday of All Saints Day. We instead went to a small town called Gata, yes meaning female cat. There was a small bodega which sold the wine so we got to go there and taste a very tiny portion and taste almond nugget. Neither were good. Then we drove to another small town all closed up and got to have ...
Alicante, Valencian Country, Spain and Canary Islands mamafeathers... getting ourselves into, we embarked on the hike with just our "flippy-floppies". The start of the hike was nothing more than a walk in the park with a nice stone path that led us into a manmade tunnel. The tunnel was pretty neat, complete with ropes to help guide us in the dark and to avoid bailing on the slick rock. Once out of the tunnel, the path changed ...
Benidorm, Valencian Country, Spain and Canary Islands sofenjonThese pictures are from me trying to take a photo of myself writing with my ancient feather pen from the Alicante market and from walking around Alicante on a tour of the the two cathedrals, San Nicolas y Santa Barbara.
The pictures later are from our visit to two little pueblos just outside of Alicante; Guadalest and Altea. In the little town of Guadalest is a beautiful castle ...

Alicante, Valencian Country, Spain and Canary Islands nuffieAfter a short drive and an introduction to the Spanish National roads (no tolls and not too bad at all!) we arived in Alicante to set up camp once again, at Camping Costa Blanca, not far from the sea. Shortly after arriving we headed down to the water for some dinner, finding a long strip of local cafes and restaurants along the water. We shared a pizza at a little restaurant overlooking the the beach and watched the ocean go wild in the overcast weather ...
