... Australian exchange couple, Peter and Sue, It sits on the grand rue near the town square among the shops and food stands. The French doors and windows open to the lively, yet not too busy street below. It is beautifully decorated in white and navy with two giant fireplaces (non-working), great art and all the conveniences. We have arrivee! I love France!!

We left our Helpx in Riocaud where we had built 150 meters of fence. Flimsy posts, soft wire with plastic coating all a bit of a waste of money and time. Not anywhere near the quality of NZ fencing. Anyway we managed to finish it for our hosts. Up and away with a small bonus which was nice, for giving 110% they said.
We were heading for the Sarlat in the Dordogne but decided to stop for lunch in Bergerac for a look around the old Town. ...

... we drove into this village the rain was coming down and it was packed - August European summer holidays sucks, if you can imagine Mt Maunganui on New Years x 100 then you have August in Europe!!!! We decide to flag it and go straight to where we are staying, a very average room via AirBNB that is overpriced due to it being a double whammy of a bank holiday weekend in France - Bad planning - nevermind can't always get it right.

Leaving Bayonne & Great New Friends

Our last breakfast with our friends Melanie & Vincent, hugs then they were off to work as we waved goodbye from their balcony.
Showered then took our bikes & gear to the car about 1km away in acar park that cost 1 Euro per day, local knowledge. Back to town to get a coffee and some food for the road trip. Jacqui the co pilot set the GPS and we were off towards ...
