Ishmailova market
... to bring any through customs at home. The market was set amongst olde worlde wooden spires painted brightly. It looked a bit like a theme park. Once inside we were met with a feast of Russian dolls, fur hats, wooden carvings, aprons, soviet memorabilia, xmas decorations and oil paintings. It was great. Metro stations and museums
... the Kremlin were also amazing with one of them containing the remains of the last royal family, including Anastasia (DNA testing has apparently solved that mystery). The Armoury museum was filled with royal treasures, costumes, carriages and Faberge eggs. We had a tour guide to tell us a bit about the history behind the artifacts and it made the experience a lot more interesting.
