... We each got piña coladas (and didn't get asked for ID!) and I got a pizza. The walk back home was even more freezing as the temperature had dropped to -19 degrees! When I got home I realised my face was burnt from something either wind or sun reflecting on the snow - either way it's like I was sun burnt back home in the summer! Today was amazing and I thoroughly enjoyed my 19th birthday! I hope everyone has a happy and safe New Years! ...

Our last few days in Budapest slipped by inconspicuously enough. Brasov made me realise that towns like Brasov and Sevastopol would be awesome to live in. Everything is close and everything is lovely and nice, everything is familiar and homey. I like it. Brasov is super homey but maybe that is because we had home food everyday and even got to have a nap. ...

... sunshine, just in case it disappeared again. As I reached the park just before the city hall, I noticed something that had escaped my notice before. It was a monument with a giant cross on it, in front of a fenced rectangular graveyard. I went closer and realized it was a monument dedicated to the Brasov men who fought and died in the December 23, 1989 Romanian Revolution.
