we finally arrive, after twisting jules arm relentlessly, but too late for the bus, cannot wait for two more hours, so we jump in a taxi only to find we have booked ourselves into the gulag, no i mean it. we are staying in prisoner cell block F. we think of crying, but dont want to show fear to the locals.

we do manage to find a ...
Karlovy Vary, Karlovarský Kraj, Czech Republic l_i_s_a_c... other complaints.

We enjoyed our stop even though it wasn’t what we were expecting. We have a cute little china cup for our Christmas tree decoration.

We are close to the German border so we use all our Krouns for diesel and leave Czech Republic. It most certainly is a beautiful country along the west side. We passed fields and fields of poppyflower heads. It must have been beautiful when they were all in bloom!
Karlovy Vary, Bohemia, Czech Republic dancejill... 5.30am. Not having had much sleep on the 11 hour flight it was a bit of a struggle to function like a normal human! But Munich was fantastic, a great combination of old and modern...everyone gets around on their bikes around the city which is pretty cool. Jarrad has spent a fair bit of time in Munich so was great to be there with someone who knew all the places to go. Felt obliged to induldge as the locals do so we went to a great gourmet market and had beer ...
Karlovy Vary, Bohemia, Czech Republic sharmandjarrad... then enjoyed a lunch of duck, dumplings and sweet and sour cabbage. I swear Greece and Czech Republic have the best food in the world. I am going to miss it. We will return tomorrow to Amsterdam to connect with our flight home. We are hoping to make the Anne Frank museum if the lines are not too long.
Karlovy Vary, Bohemia, Czech Republic tdennissteel... The standimg room tickets were $4, a hot dog was $1 ad a 1/2 litre of beer was $1.56-CRAZY! The calibre of hockey is high and the atmosphere was awesome-lots of singing and chanting. 80% of the attendees were sporting team colors and the most popular accessory was a scarf with the team colors which was waved wildy after a goal-unfortunately, we scored one lass goal than the other team and lost 2-3 in overtime, but what fun despite standing in concrete ...
Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic polloslibre... mother working 3 jobs and now overfeeds everyone (out of love, of course), she laid out a major spread for us and kept the food coming, and coming, and coming, you get the picture. Of course it is considered offencive to decline this generosity so needless to say I did not feel too well that night and had a restless nights sleep. After a couple of days in Prague, my uncle Otto (my dad's brother) came from Karlovy Vary to pick us up ...
Karlovy Vary, Bohemia, Czech Republic polloslibre... we are now. We've been staying with a friend of mine from work in Doha. She lives in a little town close to the border with Germany so we had a day of castles and canoeing yesterday and now it's almost time to head to Prague again before we travel to Croatia for a bit of island hopping and fun. Hope you like the pics. It's awesome being on the road again. Enjoy
Cheb, Bohemia, Czech Republic ryanislost... its hops, so we make sure we have an endless supply of Zatec beer on hand in the root cellar. The first day we arrived, we stopped on the way into Brody and picked 8 kilos of cherries on the side of the road.
So, life here is the opposite of Spain: quiet, industrious (always something to do on the farm), and private. The remnants of a society that lived through Communism still remain, especially with the older generation in the villages. So ...
Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic haveyouseenher... by staff. I went to a movie on Sat night "The Sentinel" with Czech subtitles. The write up was only in Czech, and it starred Michael Douglas, Kim Basinger, Donald Sutherland soI thought it would be a good thing to see. Turns out I had seen it, and it almost came to pass they didn't show it as their policy is they needed at least 10 people and at 7;29 there were only 8 or so. But a couple more wandered in it wasn't a wasted effort. Cost $4. I ...
Karlovy vary, Czech Republic lecklund... After remaining in the water the rose becomes hard and it looks as if it is made of iron.
And get one of those small pots they sell in the souvenir shops and try taste the water!
The pots are designed in such way that it is as if you drink out of a straw.

I would definitely like to visit this place again and probably spend ...
