in karlovy vary we buy the teeniest tiniest cup and try some water from every fountain. some taste like blood and we wonder if we have reached dracula country early. oh well, at least we will probably live a few extra years according to the, ah hem, medical advice.

Back in Canada in the Province of Saskatchewan there is Lake Manitou. The water in this lake has lots of minerals, similar to the Dead Sea properties. You float in it. We have been to the Manitou Spa several times and enjoyed the uniqueness of free floating. ... 5.30am. Not having had much sleep on the 11 hour flight it was a bit of a struggle to function like a normal human! But Munich was fantastic, a great combination of old and modern...everyone gets around on their bikes around the city which is pretty cool. Jarrad has spent a fair bit of time in Munich so was great to be there with someone who knew all the places to go. Slept in this morning a bit, and had a German breakfast - not cereals or wursts ;-) but bread rolls with ham & cucumber and different spreads. Jana, Connie & I went down to Neustadt, to a couple of little touristy shops while Carolin went off to uni for one subject.

The first shop was one which sells nothing but Christmas stuff and is full of those Christmas ornaments that are specific to this region. Hard to believe a shop like that ...

Hey my dear friends, after my placement in Munich, I went to my parents' house to enjoy my free time and to get some rest. I have been here 2 weeks already and its definitely time to move on. I will go back to Breda, Holland by bus tomorrow. It will take me about 14 h !! so wish me lots of fun ...

Wow! What a gorgeous town this is! The accomodations and hostess have been amazing and there are so many neat things to see and do here. We have spent our time visiting family and friends and at each we have been enjoying reminiscing about Mirek's family's time living here and looking at old photos which has been so interesting! We went through Germany to see where Bryan used to live and to visit one of his favorite breweries. We had dinner at the Gasthaus - traditional schnitzel and spetzel. Great beer and wonderful hospitality. Bryan had to get a rack of beer to take back with us, of course.

... just walking by the stadium and heard all the excitement but I almost didn't go because I wanted to leave that night and it was getting late and also because someone warned me that foreigners aren't safe at soccer matches in the Czech Republic. I didn't have any incidents during the half hour I was there. It was a perfect night for soccer, . I wish I could describe the excitement in the air, it was priceless. ... or two nights there.

It is not a big trip actually, if I am not mistaken it is about 2 hours from Prague, however the whole trips is interesting because you drive throuh huge thick forests and hills with beautiful colorful hills on either side of the road.

A place that mustn't be missed!
We left with the best impressions.
