I love this place! It is a nice hotel, too, and in the basement there are several very comfortable dorms with super bathrooms, perfect! Very close to the railway station and the Stubnerkogelbahn that brings you all up the mountains. Very nice staff, nice restaurant with good tagesmenü. This hostel has no kitchen where one can cook, like I said, it is more a hotel. Still, I like it very much.

Until we spotted some (a lot) of tourists ...

... roads, the fully laden Pug was struggling to get up these climbs, and the smell of burning brakes and coolant from cars returning suggested it was stressful on most cars. Like any alpine road, it was also full of cyclists, don't blame them, we climbed over 2000 meters in less than 15 km's. After stopping in a couple of places for photos we had reached the 4th point on the map, and our first big attraction. The Edelweiß-Spitze sits at 2571m and this will be the highest we drive ...
