Sexta feira santa and I rather think I may have discovered evidence of a gay Jesus and apostles before we made a nice walk up to a conjunto of old casas that I have been photographing for a while. A nice cloudless warm day here... at breakfast we almost accidentally ate ham and cheese. before Tata shouted "you can't eat that today!"
She was preparing the bacalau while we were preparing the morning bread and cheese and coffee... whew...

A nice walk after a dark and stormy night here in Amparo... rain, lightening, buckets and bucket of rain... then the power went off... very exciting... woke up to a nice cool morning and by noon, it is building up, very, very hot... but so exciting... best post this before the afternoon show begins and the power goes off again! We bought new walking shoes and had coffee at a great place.
Tomorrow we go to Sampa!
We started the day with a nice breakfast on the patio and then Mayra took me to a park in Campinas for a run. It was very hot and humid, which I am not used to this time of year, but it felt great. I should have remembered my sunscreen though because my shoulders got a bit red.
We then went home where Nina and Angela (mom) were waiting for us for a nice afternoon barbeque. There were so many tasty foods we nibbled on while Al grilled steak, chicken, ...

When pulling up to their condominium as it's called, I thought we were entering a high security prison. There were high brick walls with razor wire at the top. I guess that is the only way to have a "safe" neighborhood. Now, the 'condominium' is actually just a ...
