We woke up to another rainy day so decided to head south and explore the caves today. So after a hefty breakfast we hit the road in our little Toyota Yaris and before long were in the sunshine and parked up at our destination- Postojna Caves.

... caught up on the history I missed in school... Padua - a university town, the 3rd oldest in Europe, where Galileo taught. We visited St Anthony of Padua Cathedral, gothic architecture. We are staying near Venice, on the Adriatic Sea. Lovely, lovely seaside town with a marble boardwalk, fine sand and the roar of the surf (collected seashells to show Hope and Chloe) Our guide arranged for a turkey dinner for us, an unusual meal for Italians, nice touch.
