We can't escape!

... ribs) where there was a rather amusing urinal (see picture).

We left Calais and headed for a campsite which wasn’t the greatest and didn’t have very nice bathroom facilities but at least it was a gorgeous night. We spent an hour or so with our heads sticking out of the van and enjoying the stars. Love those nights! The next day we made our way to Boulogne to see the sights (see next ...

... least that's how I like the think of him. Some of you may have read about this gentleman in my Facebook postings. I asked him if he knew when Greenpeace intended to come down. He shrugged and said they hadn't yet mentioned that. He went on to cheerfully talk about how their demonstrations worked and how they had scaled the walls. A bicyclist happened by, laughed, and asked how the demonstrators had ...

... br>There’s an excellent take in the movie ‘Swades’ where Mohan (Shah Rukh)
is on a local train that comes to a halt in some village in Northern
India. On the platform, there’s a little boy who’s running and
screaming, ‘water for twenty five paise’! Up until then, Mohan hadn’t
touched anything but bottled mineral water but for some reason he buys

I've always thought about blogging and sharing my experiences with

... pronounced Fanet. ???????? Now we come to `chip´ vs. `crisp´ vs. `fry´. So a chip is a fry, a crisp is a chip and a fry is, well, I don´t think they use fry. And last but not least... for some reason `the´ is left out of the sentence, `He was taken to the hospital.´ It is said, `He was taken to hospital.´ Or, `She had the baby in hospital.´ Why??? Shouldn´t there be a `the´ in there? For whatever reason this stands out ...

... logistical view it's probably easier and cheaper to organise going West to East. You could do it very economically going East to West if you tied yourself down to a schedule a long way in advance and/or took the chance of cutting corners with your visas but that's probably a decision to make based on the political climate at the time. I don't for a minute regret not stopping to break the Trans-Siberian trip. The experience of being on ...
