Hey Everyone! Sorry for the delay in posts (again ). We made our way to Hua Hin. It was not in our plan but when we heard Monkey Mountain we had to Sidetrack. Yesterday (25th) we had quite a busy day. We headed out for breakfast very early. Then made our way to Monkey Mountain, and it did not disappoint. It is quite literally atop a …

      ... 4th February
After a glorious run along the beach at dawn watching the locals swimming in the sea and the expats finding their sunbed spot to enjoy another day of baking in the sun, we took a local bus to Khoa Takiab, the southern end of our beach where there is a temple perched on the hill with a large standing Buddha adorning the hillside staring out to sea. Perhaps this Buddha was put there to protect those at sea....I will probably never know as we ...

... Before I precede any further let me tell you something about Video Girl. She is very much a creature, a beautiful creature, of habit and routine. When we have previously travelled to South East Asia we have had cause to catch taxis and tuk-tuks from resorts to restaurants etc. And over the course of a stay at a resort we may travel the same route to and from but for some reason if the driver, particularly at night, takes a different route then ...

Couple of videos, Vid 1 this looks like a strange praying bingo game they do in the temple. They shake the pickup sticks and when one falls out they go to a board and they match the numbers and it tells them their fate. Vid 2 This was a strange seniors aerobics class in a local school yard. Vid 3 street vendor preparing some take away.

Day 120 January 30, Tuesday: Arrive Hua Hin

We took a bus this morning from Kanchanaburi to
Ratchaburi, because there we could switch to another bus to go to Hua
Hin (like we read in our guidebook). After we arrived in Ratchaburi
we realized that there were no buses to Hua Hin, but only vans and
trains. The people selling tickets for a van to Hua Hin were very
      strange and suspicious.
